Privacy Policy

Remímídò ("we", "us") is a storytelling platform run by its founders — Tiolu, Boro and David. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we will never do with it. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run the service, we sell nothing, and your family's recordings belong to your family.

What we collect

  • Account details — your email address, and a display name and family name if you choose to add them. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google.
  • Listening activity — which stories you play and when. This powers your free-plan story count, your listening history, and helps us learn which stories families love.
  • Family recordings — audio you record on the platform is stored privately and is visible only to your account. Recordings are never public, never used for training anything, and never listened to by us except with your permission for support.
  • Payment status — payments are processed entirely by Paystack. We never see or store card numbers; we store only your subscription status and plan.
  • Waitlist emails — if you ask to be notified when a story is ready, we store that email for that purpose only.

What we use it for

  • Running the service: sign-in, story limits, Pro access, your history and recordings.
  • Emails you have asked for: magic links, account confirmations, story-ready notifications, and payment receipts.
  • Understanding the library: aggregate, anonymised play counts help us decide what to record next.

We do not sell personal data. We do not run third-party advertising. We do not use your data to train AI models.

Where your data lives

Accounts, listening history and recordings are stored with Supabase. Payments are handled by Paystack. The website is served by Netlify. Each processes data under its own security and compliance programmes.

Cookies & local storage

We use no advertising or analytics cookies. We use your browser's local storage for essentials only: keeping you signed in, remembering your free-story count, and (if you save stories offline) storing audio on your device.

Children

Remímídò is made for families. Accounts are created and managed by adults; children listen. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and the family app exposes no upload or messaging features to children.

Your rights

You can see and edit your profile on your account page, and delete your account — including all recordings and history — from the same page, permanently. For anything else (export, correction, questions), email info@remimido.com and a founder will personally reply.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will note it here with a new date, and tell signed-in users on the site.
